EVERYBODY'S favourite comeback queen, Britney Spears, kicks off her Circus tour in New Orleans today - and her costumes have been created by Canadian design stars Dan and Dean Caten, otherwise known as DSQUARED².
"We are enormous fans of Britney, and have been waiting for the perfect opportunity to collaborate with her," the designers explained."We searched for a different interpretation for this tour, starting with the traditional idea of the circus and then abandoning it."
An array of international singing stars have previously turned tothelabelto be dressed, including; Madonna, Christina Aguilera, Rihanna, Usher, Beyonce and Justin Timberlake.Britney's relationship with the quirky and controversial design double-act is perhaps the most appropriate yet - see their latest collection of "superstar goes to Starbucks the morning after" looks for evidence.CLICK HERE.
"We wanted to create something much more provoking and indecent...something animalistic and primal," the duo said of their inspiration, which, although based on the Circus seems to have more than a little in common with the lady herself."We are confident that this tour partnership, an autobiographical tribute for one who has always been in the spotlight: scrutinized, watched, imitated, photographed, criticized and loved, will be an enormous success."
