CARA DELEVINGNE is soon to make her television-acting debut for a one-off drama for Sky Arts Playhouse Presents series, her agency Storm Model Management confirmed this morning.The model stars as a young woman whose fiance is serving in Afghanistan, bringing her closer to her great grandmother, played by celebrated British actress Sylvia Syms.
"It's a really touching story and I'm really honoured to be working with Sylvia in a one-off production for Playhouse Presents," Delevingne told us this morning."This will be my first time working in television drama and I am excited by the opportunity."
The show, entitled Timeless, will be broadcast on June 19 and has been scripted by Tim Firth, who masterminded Calendar Girls and Kinky Boots.Other stars to appear in the series include Matthew Perry, Ben Whishaw and Simon Callow.
Delevingne has previously acted in Joe Wright's 2012 screen adaptation of Anna Karenina and is soon to star in Michael Winterbottom's forthcoming film The Face Of An Angel and a movie version of Martin Amis's novel London Fields, alongside Amber Heard, Johnny Depp and Billy Bob Thornton.
