BRITISH high-street stalwart Marks & Spencer has employed the former chief creative officer of Victoria's Secret, Janie Schaffer, as its new director of lingerie and beauty.Schaffer - who was previously a buyer at Marks & Spencer from 1984 to 1986 - has worked for the American underwear label for the past five years.
"We have been able to establish a team that combines the best of M&S experience with exciting, new external talent," said chief executive of Marks & Spencer, Marc Bolland."Their impact will start to come through when we launch our autumn/winter 2013-14 collections in July next year."
The appointment follows an incredibly successful lingerie line by Victoria's Secret Angel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for M&S, entitled Rosie for Autograph.The collection, which became the company's fastest-selling underwear range of all time, once again established the store as a popular destination for lingerie and undergarments.
