'Fashion's dream girl':17 year-old Lily Rose Depp becomes one of Vogue's youngest cover girls

Lily Rose Deppmade herdebut on the front row at Chanel in March 2015 alongsideher mother Vanessa Paradis.Since then, shehas enjoyeda rapid rise to fashion It girl status.Now she"s reached that most significant of style milestones- her first Vogue cover.British Voguerevealed theteenager would be rounding off their year of centenary issues as the face of the Christmas party themed December issue.

The daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradisis declared"fashion"s dream girl".This is quite the achievement forone of the youngest everVogue cover stars;Kate Moss secured her first British Vogue cover in 1993 at the age of 19 while American Vogue featured Brooke Shields when she was just 14.

In the image, shot by legendary photographer Bruce Weber, Deppwears minimal makeup and shoots hernow-signature moody doe eyed expression to the camera as shelies on a teal velvet sofa in a co-ordinatingChanel gown.With an off-the-shoulder neckline and floral corsages running down the bodice it looks like the kind of prom dresshigh school students might dream of, while also tapping into the trend for decadent, old-school glamour.

The teenager is hoping to follow in her parents"footsteps and carve out a successful Hollywoodacting career;she has already worked on five feature films including the upcomingPlanetarium with Natalie Portman.Karl Lagerfeld has also been working his magic as one of her biggest supporters, makingher an ambassador for Chanel.Within this role she is the face of Chanel No.5 L"Eau and wearsChanel looks almost exclusively for all her red carpet appearences andpromotional duties."Lily-Rose is a young girl from a new generation with all the qualities of a star" Lagerfeld declares in Vogue"s piece.

It seems like Lily Rose Depp is keen to follow a Kate Moss approach to social media, who has an infamous"never explain, never complain" philosophy.Depp told Vogue that she is now careful of what she shares on social media, conscious not to heighten the speculation or interest in her private life."I???ve really stopped using it in a personal way," she explains."I never like revealing too much about myself.Once you start giving people that look into your life, then they just want more and more.???

As for how she deals with intense media attention, she added:"I"m obviously used to the media attention because I grew up with it, but my parents shielded me and my brother as much as they could."

Inside the issue Lily Rose Depp also talks about her Hollywood upbringing and Depp and Paradis" parenting style, revealing:???My parents weren???t very strict.They???ve always trusted me to be independent and make my own decisions.There wasn???t really anything to rebel against.???

With Karl Lagerfeld in her corner and a string of red carpets obligations ahead of her, it surely is only a matter of time until Depp is fronting every singleinternational edition of Vogue - wearing head-to-toe Chanel of course.
