GOAT, the British label loved by the Duchess of Cambridge and Victoria Beckham, has sold a "significant" minority stake to Amery Capital - an investment company founded by former Marks and Spencer executive Maurice Helfgott.
The sale represents a new stage of expansion for the luxury business that was founded 12 years ago by Jane Lewis. It is not known how much Amery paid for the shares, The Sunday Times reports.
The luxury label - known for its discreet, versatile elegance - is expected to soon release figures showing a 50 per cent rise in annual sales, with earnings doubling to £180,000 in the year to March.
