SOME Hollywood pairs seem destined to work together time and time again – Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, Woody Allen and Diane Keaton, Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence - and now it seems that there is a new duo to be added to that list, Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling.
“Its wonderful to work with somebody you know, trust and respect so much,” Stone said of her three-time co-star, reports Variety, as their latest film, La La Land, premiered at the opening of the Venice Film Festival last night, “Hes my buddy.”
The romantic musical, which has opened to rave reviews from the critics and is already receiving an Oscar buzz, sees Gosling play a jazz pianist who falls for an aspiring actress (Stone).The films genre doesnt appear to have fazed the pair though.
“I knew he could sing and dance,” the actress – who previously starred with Gosling in Crazy, Stupid, LoveandAmerican Gangster- revealed.“Once youve learned to ballroom dance with someone, youve learned everything you need to know,” she laughed.
