Caitlyn Jenner is the new face of H&M, fronting a sportswear campaign

Caitlyn Jenner is following in the footsteps of pop superstarsBeyoncé and Katy Perry, bylandingher own H&M campaign.

The 66-year-oldOlympic gold medalistannounced that she is working with H&M on a sportswear projecton Twitter, writing:"Backstage with @hm!So proud to be part of their inspiring #HMSport campaign.#MoreIsComing #StayTuned."

The athlete and reality star, formerly known as Bruce, transitioned from maleto female last year, and the world was introduced toCaitlyn for the first time on the cover of Vanity Fair.

A spokesperson for H&M said:“For H&M it is important to show diversity and a range of personalities in everything we do. We have pickedCaitlyn Jenner, one of the worlds most celebrated athletes, as part of this H&M Sports campaign because we want to illustrate that everything is possible – in sports, and in life.It is a collection of performance sportswear made to celebrate individuality and self-belief."

Caitlyn Jenner"s daughter Kendall Jenner has an on-goingrelationship with H&M.She has walked in the H&M Studio show and was the face of the Balmain x H&M collaboration.

The Swedish retailer hasbeen praised for itsemphasis ondiverse casting.Transgender models Andreja Pejic and Hari Nef walked in theH&M Studio show at Paris Fashion Week earlier thismonth and sister label & Other Stories castNefand transgender modelValentijn De Hingh in a campaign last year.

Jenner has been firmly welcomed into the fashion world, as she is launching a lipstick called Finally Free with M.A.C cosmetics and attended her first New York Fashion Week show in February, wearing the same dress as her 20-year-old daughter Kendall.
